Laura graduated ”Gh. Dima” National Music Academy (Cluj-Napoca), being known especially as the first vocalist in the band SENSOR, a group of musicians with an amazing innovative sound, whose band leader is Paul Ilea. Along the years in Sensor, Laura performed in Romania and abroad and the group produced five albums. In 2005, at the ”Romanian Music Awards", Sensor won the MTV "The Best Video" award for the video directed by Tudor Giurgiu for their song "Help Yourself" (music by Laura Orian & Paul Ilea, lyrics by Laura Orian). At that time, ”Help Yourself” ranked 1st in the MTV Romania chart.

From 2008, Laura developed another musical project - THE NOBODIES - with a former Sensor band member, Florin Bălan, an extremely talented guitarist and electronic music producer. In this duo formula, the two friends made the music on the album "Far From You” produced in 2018.

From 2012 until 2016, Laura was the artistic director of ALBA JAZZ, an international jazz festival which took place in Alba Iulia, România. She managed to bring artists such as Omar Sosa, Richard Galliano, Shai Maestro, Portico, Alex Sipiagin, Lucian Ban, Mat Maneri, Sanem Kalfa, George Dumitriu, Luiza Zan, Mircea Tiberian on the main stage of the festival.

In July 2015, Laura went to "Keep An Eye Summer Jazz” (at the Jazz Department of the Amsterdam Conservatory in collaboration with the Manhattan School of Music from New York) where she had the privilege to work with teachers such as Harmen Fraanje, Becca Stevens, Dick Oatts, John Riley, Franz Von Chossy, Jesse Van Ruler, Edo Righini, Yaniv Nachum, Avishai Cohen, Justin DiCioccio. During her stay in Amsterdam, Laura she wrote her first solo jazz compositions, being inspired by some different musical cultures, such as Balkan, Arabic and Latin music.

As a vocalist and songwriter, Laura collaborates with artists and music producers such as Paul Ilea, Adverb and Blanilla, with the latter also making the track "Inner Sailing" (2021). On April 3rd, 2022, Laura won the ”Confirmation Of The Year” award at the Jazz Awards Gala in Bucharest.

In August 2022 she has formed her new performance group with her friends Cristian Alexievici (drums, keyboards, electric guitar) and Răzvan Meseșan (saxophones), they focusing on original compositions but also on well-known songs, preferred by the group and reinterpreted. The improvisational touch can be felt in every piece of their repertoire. Also, on the strictly jazz side, Laura sings with other musicians, such as Dima Belinski (piano), Tibi Menyhart (double bass) and Pavlov Fedotov (saxophone) with whom she performs at jazz festivals.

On the teaching side, Laura was a vocal coach in the television show Superstar, on Pro TV (2021) and currently teaches vocal jazz and pop music performance @Gh Dima National Academy of Music - Piatra Neamț Extension.
